That be a Coconut Crab. I was stationed out at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. The atoll was crawling with them. They used to tell us that we'd get sent to the brig if we were caught touching them. They crack through coconuts with their claws and use them for shells, so they'd have no trouble snapping one of your digits off. There were several Mauritian and Filipino contract workers nicknamed "stump" or "stubby" to prove it.
