...to attend THE car audio event of the year!!

I'll be there, as will a few other SVT owners and many of the best sounding and/or loudest car audio systems in North America. There also will be show-n-shine judging formats as well, so you don't have to have an aftermarket radio to take part.

Here's the press release...

STEEL VALLEY REGIONAL IV Presents the "Come Together Tour" Starring SLAPSHOW , IASCA, USACI, MECA , dB DRAG

Steel Valley Regional IV will be held at Mountaineer Gaming Resort (http://mtrgaming.com) in Chester, WV, on June 4, 5, 6, 2004. The organizers of the event report that, for the first time ever, all five of the major competition associations will participate at Steel Valley Regional IV. Competition formats will include a SLAP National 4X Show, featuring Slapdb, Slapdbq, and Slap Show-n-Shine; an IASCA Triple Point Show SQ and IDBL; a USACI Triple Point Event SQ and SPL; a MECA 3X SQ and SPL; and a dB DRAG. This will be a smorgasbord menu as competitors can compete in one or more formats. The organizers encourage the competitors to try new formats and take advantage of everyone coming together for this event.

Steve and Sharon Tyler will be running the Slapshow portion along with the cooperation of Terry Floyd from Soundoff Technologies who will oversee the entire event. Soundoff Technologies will handle the IASCA portion as well. Steve Stern will be there from MECA and Ralph Randall will coordinate the USACI portion of the show.

Show organizers Larry Chijner, Terry Floyd, and Mark Liggett are excited to have all the formats this year as it shows cooperation and a coming together of all the competitive organizations for the competitors, manufacturers, and the mobile electronics industry. This year, the top cars from ALL the organizations will participate in Sundays TOP 40 Showdown, which will be judged on Sound Quality Only by multiple judges and ranking the cars from 40th-1st place. Steel Valley Regional will have PRIZES and TROPHIES for all the formats.

Mountaineer has 3500 slot machines, multiple restaurants, a health spa, indoor and outdoor pools, live horse racing, simulcast racing, golfing, and plenty of entertainment for everyone. The show will be held at the air-conditioned Indoor Harv Arena, which is walking distance from the New Grande Hotel. Mountaineer has 24-hour security and power will be available to both the manufacturers and competitors participating. The show will be open to the public at no charge. Part of the proceeds will benefit "Coats for Kids" a local charity.
