well i have a radiator for an automatic transmission. it has two ports for the transmission lines in the end tank. a buddy was saying i could run oil lines through it and use it as an oil cooler. is this true? any potential harm from doing this?

Considering that the coolant is going to be 190-210* around that. I see no point in using it as cooler for the oil.

yea but the same ports are used to cool the transmission. i think if it could keep the tranny from overheating, it should help to keep the engine cooler too. I could even run an additional external cooler with fan later on if i wanted

well i found that it works well to cool the oil, but im just going to use a manual radiator and buy an oil filter relocation kit and do a seperate external oil cooler with fan.
