I shipped my car from WA to CO, a couple days after deliver I notice a dent on front of Heat Exchanger. I opened the SC cooling reservoir and noticed what appears to be oil mixing with the fluid, the fluid is almost black. Any ideas as to what could be going on internally?

I was thinking about upgrading to a Kennebell in a few months, but was wondering if something more internal could have caused the oil or if the dent on HE could lead to anything.

Just flush it out and refill, I doubt it's any kind of oil. There is no possible way for engine oil to get into the intercooler system unless it was deliberatley poured in. The intercooler piping and passages don't share any space with the engine oil or even engine coolant.

No, the only way that could happen is through a hole in the IC and a SC leak would have to be above the exact same spot as the hole in the IC. Even in that case it can't happen because if you did have a hole in the IC it would be letting coolant out, not letting oil in.
