Strange issue but would like to see if anyone had a clue.

Searched with Tapatalk not on site so please forgive me if this is answered somewhere.

I have a 2012 GT and had to have the engine replace due to an oiling issue on the passenger side cams.

I now have a new not remaned 2014 build coyote engine thanks to Ford warranty not out any cash other then a clutch.

Now the oil life stays at 100% never goes down. I have about 12k miles on the new engine and always change the oil about 5k and that is always always about 50% life.

What causes this to stay at 100%?

I never go by the digital oil life readout.

It takes a lot into consideration. Revolutions, driving time, running time, and oil temperature cycles.

Just do it every 5k like you are now.

So this shouldn't be a concern? I would hate to have something not hooked up or something going bad.

I would keep doing the oil changes at 5k as well. Drove my 5.0 2500 home from the dealer, plus an extra 500 miles and it stayed at 100%. I wouldn't trust the digital readout.

Don't stress and just change the oil every 5k.

There is something going on with it. Take the car back to the dealership and get that figured out.

However, like others have said; change the oil based on mileage.

This was fixed with a PCM and gauge cluster update from Ford. I now have a new strategy. Forgot what it was before but now is FPDN1AA. There was a cluster update too but not sure what version..
Now what is different on a 2012 engine to a 2014 build engine that would cause this?
