Oil light

I've been driving the cobra less lately. Recently the oil light has been coming on for about 60 seconds a minute or two after I start up the car. The dipstick shows full. It goes out after a little bit.

What do you guys think?

Just had it changed. It doesn't rattle much. I have been parking it on a slant for about two years now.

Have those of you who park on a slant have this issue regularly?

No, the problem seems to come and go indiscrimantly. Of course, certain grades WILL bring it out more frequently, but I think it could have to do with a culmination of factors while the actual oil level remains the same. Either way, check the stick and you will be fine.

I think the shop puts in six quarts. Not because they tell me so but because where the level is on the stick when I get it back from them. I always add enough to just cover the tab at the end of the stick. I usually buy the oil myself and tell them to put it all in but this time I didn't do that. Still, the light has come on after I have added the oil.

When I get into my own house, I'll change it myself so I know what is going on with stuff like "how much oil is in the car".

does the factory oil psi guage move back and forth? or does it stay halfway and the lamp comes on?
