5W20 Mobil 1 or Castrol Synthetic, good to -50*C (-58*F) so far.
I find the transmission fuild is more temperature sensitive than those engine oils. At those temps you make sure the torque convertor has locked up before asking the transmission to do anything taxing. Right around the same time the tires warm up enough to stop thumping from the cold induced flat spots.
I'll keep my eye on this thread- doing my first oil change on mine since I got it, before the winter. 5W20 is the recommended, it comes down to brand now...
Amsoil 5w-30 and Amsoil filter year round in the L, trying to find a new 10W-40 for my daily driver and I run it year round although I can get away with 10W-30 in the winter if I have to. Ran Trop-Artic for the last 300k miles, but now it's discontinued. That sucks. Driver gets a Motorcraft filter.
5w-20 is what Ive always ran, I used to run mobile 1 religiously but I switched to motorcraft 5w-20.
Now I run valvoline 5w20 for my break in period on my new engine.
