I put a mac tools oil pressure tester on my cobra on friday and it had 32 psi hot at idle and climbed to 60 psi when reved a little. I put a sunpro oil pressure guage on today and started car and at cold idle it was 90psi and gradually came down to 22 psi at idle hot. Driving the car it is usually like 45psi on the sunpro guage. I guess I would like to see the 32psi at idle on the sunpro guage more then 22psi , but the 22psi is adequate correct? Should I be seeing more pressure at idle hot on my new forged short block with 400 miles? The reason I ask this is the engine has a light diesel engine sound at idle not like rods knocking but more like noisy valve train! The engine had 8014 when rod bearing spun ,so the heads were just taken off and put on new forged rotating assm. The car now has 8432 miles. thanx
