Okay do you think I could fit 305-35-20's on here?

Okay this is a '13 GT Mustang that was lowered by the previous owner. I am currently running NITTO Invo's at 295-35-20 and I would like to upgrade to a 305-35-20 drag radial either NITTO or Mickey Thompson but I do not know if they will fit. The wheels are Vossen 20 inch and the previous owner put on Eibach lowering springs and according to that site it says it lowers the car 1.7-2.0 inches. I have a set of Steeda springs that only drops the car 1.5 inches and if I needed to I can put those on. Here are some pictures of my current setup.

This is on the grove from where the tread meets the sidewall.

The current setup does not rub going over bumps and the car handles the twisties really well it just sucks at the drag strip.

You say that your current setup doesn't rub but to me it looks like your sidewall is slightly shaved and I think I see some burnt rubber on the fender lip? BTW nice wheels.

Thanks. The rubber is from burn outs yesterday at the track. They might be rubbing but if they are I can't hear it.

That sidewall sure looks like you've been rubbing, and doing it a lot... but I dunno. Maybe it's something else.

You didn't mention wheel width or offset. It looks like your current tire is rubbing a lot and Nittos tend to run narrow as it is. Either way you cut it, it looks like if you go wider you will rub pretty bad.

Okay I will see if I can find some chalk to see if it is rubbing.

I don't know the offset of the wheels but I believe they are 10-10.5 wide.

How can I measure the offset of them? Did a quick Google and figured it out.

Also do you guys think the Mickey Thompson 275-40-20's would give me plenty of traction and I know it would probably be better than what I have right now.

Thanks again.

Which mickeys? If you're talking about street comps, then definitely not.

I think I am going to put a set of 285 35 20 Invo's on the rear wheels and then go with big and littles and just do it right the first time.

Thanks for all your advice and learning me some knowledge.

I'm on 10.5" vossens with the same 295 invo's and don't have any rubbing. eibach pro's about to switch over to BMR's. I think a 305 would probably fit on my car that way it sits.

Your car looks lower than mine however

Yeah it is pretty low I like the look but I don't like the lack of tire choices.

I think some new lugs are in your future. Those long ones don't look right.

i have nitto 305 DRs with Steeda sports and I'm not even close to rubbing.
