An official GT-40 replica retailer. The reason I'm so excited is because my dream was to build a GT-40 kit car. And one of the huge snags is that you can no longer import kit cars into Canada because of safety regulations, so I thought it would only be just a dream, but I found out that one of the exotic dealers now sells the CAV GT-40's. The cost is waaaay up there but atleast its available, and possibly get a chance to see one on the road.

Some of the stats/specs on the car:

RBT 6 speed
Speed in gears at 6500rmp mph
Ratios 1st 2.58 52
2nd 1.61 83
3rd 1.14 118
4th 0.95 140
5th 0.80 166
6th 0.62 217
Final drive 3.70

I still find the dimensions of these things incredible.

Style Two door GT
Length 164.5”
Width 70”
Height 40.5”
Wheelbase 95”
Dry Weight 2,350 lbs (incl. engine and gearbox)
Ground Clearance 5”

That would eat anything on the road up here, and in most cities.

This thing makes a Corvette look like a boat. I like this quote,

" Let me describe the seating position for you. You're low, as in the roof of the CAV GT-40 comes to roughly the top of a Corvette door with the window down - get a tape measure out and pull out 40", that's how tall it is."
