Before the turbo or blower at my first svtoa event open track event (2001) my truck out handled the modded lightnings with street tires(radial t/a's) on it. With my 245 comp t/a's i was 4 seconds faster then any car at the event.
The second svtoa event at famoso i was the fastest vehicle on saturday but cracked a head, (pre blower on comp t/a's). On sunday i beat all the trucks in 2 runs and came within 1/2 of beating the fastest mustang. Third run i would have beaten the mustangs.
With the 12" wide tires all i had to do was to turn the wheel to scrub off some speed. With the turbo i had to squeeze the gas even in third not to get wheel spin. It kept blowing head gaskets but it sure was fun.
