I lowered my Mach 1 with AM SR performance springs today. The drop is 1 1/2" (approx) according to AM. The guy at the dealership says I have to have camber plates before he would align it. My question is, what are your experiences with alignment after lowering springs? I know that they can help getting a car 'perfect' but I am questioning how close it can be without the plates? I am not trying to go cheap here just can't believe that it can't be at least close to spec without the plates.

Try camber bolts first. There $25 from AM and give a good amount of adjustment.

Yeah I wondered about those. And after looking at the install instructions for the plates I really don't want to install these unless I have to. Looks like a permanent modification and some even require an additional hole to be drilled. Which I am not a fan of doing. I may give the bolts a try. Thanks

Took my car to a good tire/alignment shop. They were able to get a good alignment on it with no camber plates or bolts.
