opinions on setup? :)

so if you recall, i bought a 79 notch that was tore apart for cheap, planned to build a fun toy without spending a bunch. the car came with a 302 tore down, a srod 4 speed, five lug swap done and and 3.73s in it. the 302 only had about 20,000 on a rebuild and the cylinder walls dont show and groves in them. After asking for opinions on heads and looking at prices on new and for deals on used i settles for a set of stock e7s that had been gone through and cleaned up to stock spec and bought a set of subframe connectors. I recently found out that a local guys car was involved in an accident and i ended up getting a good deal on it so i jumped on it. The car has about 500 miles on a set of ported and polished e7s with valve work, a trick flow stage 2 cam, and a rpm intake and long tubes. the car has a rebuilt weber carb on it, 100 shot of nitrous but the car has never been sprayed as it was put on within the last couple months (i think he said there was a window switch installed with this?). It has less than 50 miles on a king cobra clutch and a short throw on the t5which i will be swapping in. Its got an aluminum radiator and electric fan that are less than a couple months old, adjustable clutch quadrant, mechanical locker and 4.10s and drag lights. the front are bfg's but i cant recall the size without running out there, the rear a bfg gforce drag radials with 500 miles on them and are 275s. one front wheel and tire is bad but i will be replacing them and using the wheels and tires as well as everything else listed above as well as the full interior and other small things. Finally, my question is with all of this does anybody have an estimation as to what i can look for as a number on the power? im just curious as to how well it will run.

with the e7 heads i'd be surprised to see more than 260-280 without the spray. fully worked, they're about equivalent to gt40p heads with no work. you stand to gain a lot from a better set of heads.

Okay, like i said its just a cheap toy for now but eventually id like to start doing some upgrades, when that time comes what heads would you suggest with the other stuff there? And what kind of numbers would they create? Just out of curiosity so ive got an idea before spending the money

you could check into something like afr165, or tf twisted wedge 170. you'd end up doing better on the nitrous with something like the afr 185, but you'd have to flycut the pistons, or get new ones. depending on the totality of your setup with how well your other supporting mods go together, with the afr/tf 165-170 i'd say you could be in the neighborhood of 310-330 or better.
