Well it finally arrived yesterday! pretty cool truck, I was a little disappointed in the payload for a 2wd truck with the "payload pkg" but it'll work.
I missed it by 100ish pounds on my guess. :)

"The 3.73's and low options helps a lot. The GVWR of 6800# hurts a bit. That truck will likely weigh around 5000-5200# give or take. I'm going to guess payload of 1847#"

i havent looked at detailed specs in a while - is there a payload package and heavy duty payload package or is their just one to up that? Id assume thats NOT a max tow with the extra wheel stud and screwed up axles?
They no longer do the 7 lug HD payload package. They still have the HD payload package, but it is 6 lug now. Makes them harder to spot in the wild. They stopped the 7 lug in the 2015 model year.

@93Cobra#2771 Funny, once I looked at the yellow sticker I went back and looked for your post, you were pretty close! I was thinking it would have been higher but one thing I did not account for is also the longer 157" wheelbase has longer bed, frame, driveshaft ect.. that adds weight too.

So this weekend I dialed in my weight distribution hitch to my 27" toy hauler, it weighs about 5200lbs dry. Then I went driving around and took it on the freeway, I was curious to see how the 2.7 with 3.73 and longer wheelbase would handle it. Verdict?
Absolutely blown away!! very impressed, acceleration, stability, stopping power (had break controller dialed in too) was great.

Was the TH garage loaded during setup? If not, plan on less weight distribution to account for the load the in the garage reducing tongue weight. Good looking setup. do you know what your truck front fender height was unloaded and then hooked up and spring bars engaged? Getting those numbers within 1/4" or so is a great starting point for setting up the weight distribution.

Yes, the longbed trucks eat into the payload cap. Just like the higher trim levels eat into the cap due to the added weight of the extra options.

I'm not as good guessing on the 15+ trucks as I am on the 09-14 trucks, but I can usually get pretty close. The 15+ trucks are usually in the 200-300# range more than a comparable 09-14 truck due to the lighter aluminum body.
