After going back and forth between Black Rims Forgestar CF5s, F14s, GT500 replicas, I finally made the decision and went with my favorite looking rims...
the SVE Drift 19x9.5s.
I was going to go larger 19x10 or 19x11 with rims I didn't like as much, but the truth is....
Without a Drag radial, 600rwhp will spin 295s or 305s as easy as 285s.
So the plan is this...
My car currently has the stock 19x9.5s with Michelin Pilot A/S 3s 255/40/19 and 285/35/19s.
I am going to put Michelin Super Sports on in the stock sizes in the Spring and give my son my rims and tires for his 2005 Mustang GT.
Every winter I will put my stock rims back on and he will put his current rims with All_season Pirelli 235/50/18s back on.
A side benefit is the new rims only weigh 26lbs each and the Super Sports weigh 26 front and 28 rear, this should save me about 7-10lbs per each wheel and tire.
Here is how it will look:
My car now
Similar car with SVE drifts
My son's car now
My son's car photoshopped with my current rims
I Love it when a plan comes together!!!
