After going back and forth between Black Rims Forgestar CF5s, F14s, GT500 replicas, I finally made the decision and went with my favorite looking rims...

the SVE Drift 19x9.5s.

I was going to go larger 19x10 or 19x11 with rims I didn't like as much, but the truth is....

Without a Drag radial, 600rwhp will spin 295s or 305s as easy as 285s.

So the plan is this...

My car currently has the stock 19x9.5s with Michelin Pilot A/S 3s 255/40/19 and 285/35/19s.

I am going to put Michelin Super Sports on in the stock sizes in the Spring and give my son my rims and tires for his 2005 Mustang GT.

Every winter I will put my stock rims back on and he will put his current rims with All_season Pirelli 235/50/18s back on.

A side benefit is the new rims only weigh 26lbs each and the Super Sports weigh 26 front and 28 rear, this should save me about 7-10lbs per each wheel and tire.

Here is how it will look:

I Love it when a plan comes together!!!

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks....

I thought about going with other SVE Drift type rims that come in 19x10, but they don't look as good.

I think the aggressive offset of the SVE makes it look really good.

Like them on your sons car.

I actually like his chrome rims better, but he wants to go for a different look.
I thought he should order 18x10s for the rear of his car.

I spent a ton on his car for the holidays....

CAI, Tune, and Hurst Shifter.
His car dyno's at just around 300rwhp.
Not bad for an 18 year old.

He turns 19 in March.
This will be his present.

If he did not want them I would just order 2 Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the rear of my car and swap the rear tires each season on to the new rims.

I am going to throw my old Goodyears on the stock rims and let him try them out to see if they fit and if it rubs, his car is slammed with Eibach Sport Lines.

I like those. Similar to the wheels I got from Americanracing. But I went with 18x10 in black. I've posted pictures on fordgt500 before

By the way nice gift list for your son. My dad is into guns not cars so I got a bunch of gun stuff and I could care less about shooting.

They look similar. I think the only reason I didn't go with the drift wheels was they didn't sell nitto's or didn't have the 305 dr's I wanted.

Well, the SVE Drifts are still backordered, so I cancelled out the order and ordered American Muscle AMRs in Black 19x8.5 fronts and 19x10 rears.

Now I can fit a 305/35/19 out back with no worries!!!!
