I have been asked to drive my R in the parade this coming Wednesday!! The Texaco/Havoline CART Grand Prix race is this coming weekend downtown in Houston and there is always a parade just ahead of it. The owner of the Momentum BMW/Porsche Performance Center called me this week and asked if I would want to drive one of the race dignitaries in my M5 in the parade...and although I love my M5, I said hey, this is a race car parade, and the R certainly qualifies...so why not drive the R instead....and he liked the idea.
I should get her back from Houston Performance on Monday ...so I'll have to give her a real good detailing so she looks good for the parade!
Should be fun!! I am certain this will be a first (having a Cobra R) for this parade, as they usually have a bunch of convertible cars in this parade. Think the R will stand out in this crowd of "regular" cars???
