My output shaft seal is cracked and leaking. I pulled out the drive shaft, but I can't remove the seal. If i pull it with pliers the rubber just rips off. Any suggestions to remove it? I've searched with no luck. Can I just use a hammer and screwdriver or do I risk damaging the output shaft. Also looking this info up I did read that when reinstalling the seal to use sealant. Is that necessary? Thanks for the help.
