    Good Evening SVTers,

Did a search and didn't see much chatter about it and I put it here because I want to keep the show and the shine:rockon:. I am getting ready to transfer from WA to Pensacola FL for flight school and I am trailering my Cobra behind the new EB F150. Now I have looked at shrink wrapping the car but realized new cars aren't even shrink wrapped. Then I came across this. Will this keep me moderately protected during the trip down? Any experience/recommendations?

    Thanks!

    Alex:beer:

I would say either would be fine. All about what your willing to spend. Being that it will be a pretty lengthy trip I would cover it with some kind of wrap and I think you have the right idea.

If you were driving the car I would say wrap the front bumper, side mirrors, and part of the hood with 3M automotive tape, but that automotive wrap seem nice. Though I have no experience with it myself.

thanks for the info. Trip is about 3k miles. I am afraid with the sheets that it will raise up, get dirt on the edges, and beat the hell out of the paint. Might just go with the tried and true 3m green.

I think that is a good call. Or rent a box trailer for the trip?

Honestly private cargo transport or a enclosed trailer is probably the best thing honestly. But if you go the route your thinking. I think Audi uses something like this for there cars in transit.

Well, paying to ship it is out of the question because that is part of the reason I bought a new truck . Also, I do not think buying an enclosed trailer is in the chips because I have no where to put it once it get there. I was just going to rent a uhaul trailer.

3m green painters tape is what i always use on the bumper, front of the hood, rockers, side scoops, and behind rear wheels for long trips. Comes right off with very little residue. You also get some crazy looks from other drivers haha
