Has anyone ever painted a fiberglass garage door before? I did some searching on the internet and found that some people recommend using primer and just normal latex paint and some people specifically recommend against using latex paint. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

go to the local paint store and get either XIM primer or get universal latex primer. Both are name brands. one is a oil and one is latex. go over the primer with a top quality exterior latex paint like benjamin moore mooreglo or mooreguard!. Latex paint has a certain amount of elasticity to it where oil does not. I own a painting company and thats what I use on garage doors. any more questions just ask!

Great thanks! I got the primer and high gloss paint, which is what the people at the store recommended because it has better scratch and dent protection. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Get a bunch of naked college chicks, paint on their bodies, then make them press against the garage door.
