Painting plastics in car

I want to take out te plastics in my car and paint them..was wondering if anyone has done this and if so what the process was that they did

I painted the dash bezel, shift/stereo/ac bezel and the door handle bezels. I cleaned them really well with alcohol and painted them about the same color as of gauges. Titanium metallic i believe was the color.
