Is there a tuner that i could buy for my cobra that I would be able to use on my 03 6.0 powerstroke and maybe my excursions as well (v10's)? I have read how they lock or something once programmed to a car but if thats the case can you pay a fee to use it on other cars or trucks? I would like to tune 3 or 4 of my cars but to buy 3 or 4 tuners...

Nope. Since every tuner on the market downloads the stock tune and VIN locks it you'll need to buy one for every car.

ya, it may seem like a PITA but it is actually an important saftey feature, god forbid something happens in mid flash, the tuner should be able to restore the car to stock condition, only way to insure that is if it keeps your stock calibration and computer info stored.

Sniper makes one that can be switched between vehicles with "sniper bullets" or something lol. But they make two, one for gas engines and one for diesel engines.
