On my 2001 GT I had a Pro 5.0 and I absolutly LOVED it. I loved how notchy it was, I loved how short the handel was, how short it was, how short the throws were, etc....pretty much just loved it

I have heard a insane amount of good things about the triax...

If you have used both, what do you like best and why? Any info on the triax, how it feels, how it compares to pro 5.0 would be great

Not to be rude, but a lot of this does not really matter. I did not have one complaint with my pro 5.0..I am small and no complaints with reach, etc. LOVED IT.

Just asking for comparison betwen pro 5.0 and steeda tri ax.

Both come awesome as is...no need to change

thanks for the inputs though

I had the Tri-ax in my old 2002 GT and loved it but the main problem with it is after driving around for a few hours the shift handle would get real warm to the touch. Steeda now sells a knob that helps with this. With the Pro 5.0 and MGW handle this problem is gone. Both shifters are great other than the heat issue.

i had both on my '96. i prefer the pro-50 because it feels sturdy-er built, and its realy short. the triax feels like a realy good factory shifter, for those who want a longer handle. i like the pro50, and that is what is going on my 03.

If you were happy with the Pro 5.0 I would stick with Pro 5.0. I have the Tri-Ax but would be just as happy with the Pro 5.0. They're both excellent products.
