Picked up another revolver the other day...

Some of you may remember the thread I started a couple of weeks back where I bought my girl a Ruger SP-101 2.25" barreled .357 Magnum revolver...Anyways, I just picked up another revolver the other day for myself. It's a Smith & Wesson Model 629 .44 Magnum with a 6" barrel. I thought that I'd take a few pictures of them together for a size comparison...

I'm more of a glock guy now but I picked up a .44 a few years ago and I love it.its alittle more expensive to shoot but it gets Alot of stares when the flames start coming out lol

I love the SP101 I'm buying one for my birthday next month just don't know what barrel length I want.

Nice guns, guys! Hey, Zinc, what caliber is your revolver? It looks like a Smith & Wesson X-Frame revolver with a 4" or 5" barrel in the picture. I'm assuming it's either a .460 S&W Magnum or the .500 S&W Magnum, but I'm leaning more towards it being a .500 because you have 5-rounds laying next to it and the .500 is a five-shooter, whereas the .460 is a six-shooter.

Thanks! Actually it is a .460 with 5" barrel and i'm not sure if they do also make a 6 shooter .460 (i have not seen one) but mine is def a 5er.

Yeah, you're right. They are both 5-shot revolvers. I don't know why I said that. Anyways, enjoy that beast, brother! I'm thinking about picking up the 4" .500 S&W Magnum...we shall see.
