The rings on my car are sm what bad I get smoke at start up usually in the mornings or when the car sits for more then 5-8 hours ... So today I was comin out of the market and I was at a stop light and my car started to smoke a lot got home and checked the car and no leaks I turn it on again and sm smoke comes out for 5 seconds and stops the engine sounds fine[/QUOTE]

And what are sm great rings to get for my car and I was panning on putting the new rings myself or should I take it to a shop ...

And a mother thing today when I got home I heard I sound coming from my driver side catalytic converter...

If it was rings you'd usually notice the smoke while driving during shifts or pulls.

Startup smoke is either valve seals or a lot of oil in the factory Ford PCV line.

If it's not the PCV valve you can do a leakdown test to see if the valve seals are leaking
