Wife SUFFERED with Lyme for 3 years.
It is the most mis-diagnosed disease.
The amount of blood needed to properly test for it
is enough to make me pass out!

I know it's not a cut and dry answer...but any tips or suggestions for someone wanting a proper diagnosis? I have a feeling my brother may have Lyme but has tested negative once, maybe twice. He is considering going to a specialist. But that would be out of pocket as his insurance will not cover it.

We too are in New England. We found a specialist after months of test and misdiagnosed illnesses.
I would specifically ask for lyme testing. If they aren't drawing 4 vials at a MINIMUM, they aren't testing properly.

You need to test for all the co infections as well, so find a lyme literate Dr, or you are just spinning your wheels. Also, be prepared to spend a bunch of out of pocket on tests, then watch out for the ones that want to put you on 50 different holistic remedies. Might need to check for strep and pandas/pans, and don't overlook some psychiatric help. Again, make sure every specialist you deal with is lyme literate.

Definitely don't waste your time on going to someone who isn't a specialist. If you are in NE I know Massachusetts has some really good doctors in the Lyme field out there. From what I understand, Boston, Seattle, Germany, and a few other places are the primary locations where you can find the doctors that specialize in treatment and care for Lyme.

I think the least evil scenario is that it got out on accident and once China saw that it was out of control they kept their mouths shut so the world economy would cripple like theirs did. If they were able to contain it and only their economy suffered they would get destroyed because of it.
