I just bought an aftermarket brake kit for the front of my 03. I need to find out what size and type the hardline fitting is at the chasis. I want to get a set of custom ss lines made, and no one seems to know the fitting size. Also the length of the stock lines (18" I think). I even have the Ford shop manual and it says nothing. Anyone with experience? Thank you very much. I can't install it until I know, and I don't feel like pulling off the old line, replacing it, bleeding it, etc. :(

Brake Lines

What brand of brakes did you buy? I just put a set of Willwood 6 piston brake kit from Summit. It came with all the correct fittings. They also have a brake line kit, that comes with adapters.

That is the same kit I bought. So the fittings are the right size? I was leary that they weren't, because I have heard different things. I also wanted to get Earl's lines because they are DOT spec. Off topic, do you like the kit? How does it feel/noise/braking distances? Also, did you safety wire them?
