Please help with build dates and driveshafts.

I have found a few Cobras on dealer lots and will probably cancel the ordered one. Does anyone know when Ford started installing the fixed driveshafts? Build dates, vin number, or any other way to tell?
Did all second run cars get the fixed driveshafts? How can I be sure the car is second run?

Mine got built in August delivered 9-9-02 and it vibrates ..taking it in tomorrow

Mine had a 8/12 build sequence and was delivered on 9/12. It is in the shop for the vibe and pull right issues.

The only way I know if to tell if a car definitely came from the second run would be if it arrived with chrome rims. No 1st run cars were delivered with chromies. Also no mineral gray or torch red in the second run. Also I don't believe the bad lot of D/S's were destroyed until the end of Aug. My new D/S was ordered 1 Aug and installed on about the 27th.
