The B-heads do not flow better than C-heads. They are the worst flowing stock 4v heads available. And yes, they also lack velocity.

ummm?? last time i checked the B heads flow more air than C heads. just not down low.

Thanks for the info xxx. I am probably gonna buy the plenum, as I don't trust myself with that level of machining, but I can pull off the IMRC delete.

Thanks bro.

That is absolutely incorrect. C-heads outflow B-heads from .100 to .600 lift.

Plenum, why are you buying a plenum? BTW, our cars do not have plenums.

Do not be worried about losing low end torque with IMRCs. I have deletes and cams w/[email protected]. I have the exact same amount of low end torque as I did with IMRCs and stock cams. As long as you get a tune you will be fine.

If the B heads flow so bad explain this data sheet.

http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tablehdc.htm

4.6L 4V '96-'98 Ported Stage 1 C.A.P.A. Performance Alum
.500"
272/172
63.24%
560 hp

4.6L 4V '99-'01 Ported Stage 1 C.A.P.A. Performance Alum
.500"
257/185
71.98%
529 hp

Both heads are stage 1 ported by the same company.
