PMAS blow through setup

I've got a PMAS meter that I am going to run on my 5.0L turbo setup.

I just had a couple questions about position. is it alright if the meter isn't straight up and down, and is it okay if there is a silicone coupler about 2 inches ahead of the meter towards the intake?

Reason I ask is because it will be mounted in a flange that is welded to my pipe coming up the fender to the intake.

from my understanding, These meters are some what sensitive to sharp curves. I have the VMP tube with my meter mounted in it. I wanna say its a foot long straight tube to help reduce unstable air hitting the meter. Really clean setup and would totally go that route.
