Possible to take the snout of the blower?

While it's still in the car? The intercooler cap is in the way of one of the bolts to remove the eatons snout... I'm wondering if that nipple on the cap can be pulled out without destroying the cap... If I can get that out I'll have enough room...

it is possible to remove the front of the blower. i have seen it done before. just have rags ready. when the the blower ill leak out oil. better yet, drain as much as you can before pulling it off. just curious, why do you want to remove the snout? the one time i seen it done was before the pulley swap tools were widely available. the guy pulled it to take it to a machine shop to have a smaller pulley pressed on.
