Just wanted to pass on an oberservation.
Yesterday we went by the local SVT dealer to pick up an oil filter and some touch-up paint. They had a Silver and Sonic Blue coupe there. (the silver one is sold and the dealer is asking 10K over for Cobras!) Sitting next to the Cobra's were 3 S/C Saleens.
On Postban's hood mod post, someone mentioned something about more water getting in the opened up hole. Well, the Saleen's have similar hoods to the Cobra (reversed scoops, but not as much bulge). Their vents are completely open. No flaps, no hoodliner blocking them and some sort of mesh grill over the openings. In fact, the "hoodliner" is some sort of rhino-liner or something like it, on the center part of the hood only. It looks much better and I can't imagine Saleen doing that if water was going to be an issue.
I wish I had my camera with me at the time, but I didn't.
I plan to modify the hoodliner. In fact, I'd like to find some sort of replacement liner. I think ours looks like crap!
