Pounded her ass some today. Ethyl's big black Whipple singing the blues......Car has been inconsistent as we have had to fabricate most of the stuff to make the Whipple work. There is a redesigned snout on it now and I'm trying to stress it to build up some confidence back in it. Getting close to logging some track time.

We're back :) Ditched the Whipple. Now running twin 62 mm turbos. We put two Precision 6266's on the car with the LQ9. She made 1145/1269 and we ran a 6.30 @ 112. This was all done through a badly slipping Torque Converter. The trap in the 1/8th mile was 112 which we were running at the 300 foot mark. Car went 112 at 6200 and 112 at 7400. We replaced the TC with a local build from Azle Texas, Mike's Trickshift. The Whipple had put a lot of stress on the crank in the 402 build so we never got a chance to try out the new converter. The crank got out of balance. We went from the LQ9 402 to a 434 Ci LSx and the Precision Turbos which were a constant problem were sent to Reed Partridge in Birmingham for a complete rebuild. Reed bored out all the Precision bearings and housings and replaced them with better American built material from DC bearings in Washington State, at least that is what I think he said. At any rate the Precisions did not last more than 8-10 hours apiece out of the box but we have around a thousand miles on them now with no issues. We've just recently broken the engine and new turbos in so we haven't really stressed the setup yet. We will go back in for a tune and to hook up the boost controller. We only have 5 pound springs in it right now. We are hoping for low to mid 1400's and perhaps a 5 second timeslip. Here is a vid of a 6.32 pass. And the dyno pull with the 402. We were making 30 lbs of boost. With the LSx we would like to be able to go up to mid 30's.

The precision turbo that was smoking had less than a couple of hours on it.
