Hi guys, i want to make a little survey because i want to know what makes pullied cobra traps 120 mph + at the track. I want to know if powershifting it is what rise the mph. So i will collect some of your data just to try to clear up my mind a bit. Tx for the info.:beer:

Your:

60 ft =
E.T. =
Mph =
Powershifting ? Yes or No

i ran with 26x10.5x15 et streets ..that was the 1st time ever ran these tires on my car ...i shifted super slow to second cuz it just hooked nasty and i was all oh sh*t and then shifted .. launched it at 5500 rpms , i think if i would have shifted to second better would of been an 11.5-11.40...

Ben, the ability to achieve high MPH's with a Terminator is "primarily" dependent on power levels and race weight. You take care of those two areas and there'a pretty darn good chance you cna hit some pretty good MPH's. That being said, I only ran an upper only for a very short time, mostly hitting mid 12's at 118-119. here's my best:

60 ft = 1.984
E.T. = 12.23
Mph = 120.72
Powershifting - Nope
Weight reduction - None (3,950 race weight)
Shifting Point - 6,200+/- RPM

Tx guys keep em coming.

Ok Ironterp, good info, i know the track and the psi in the tire can play a role too. Weirdly at my track im almost the fastest pullied terminator at 115-116. Kinda weird. Maybe its the track ... or the bad shifting of everybody. Quebec is not that high over sea level i think too, so that is certainly not a factor etiher. I thought everybody beside me was powershifting their terminator.... Worth my little research i guess.

Tx:)

Powershifting ? No
Weight reduction ? SRA, Welds
Shifting Point(rpm)?6200

on 28x12.5x15 ET Streets, also iced the LFP intercooler down before the run. This was before i added the ported blower TB and plenum, other than that the mod list below is the same.

60 ft = 1.58
E.T. = 11.20
Mph = 121.16
Powershifting? No
Weight reduction ? Race weight was ~3730 with me in it
Shifting Point(rpm)? ~ 6300, it varies though

This is with the stock unported eaton, upper only, on the stock IRS aside from a brace, and stock 17in chromies all the way around.

Do you have an ice box on your car? I know they are good for a couple of mph, along with being sure that you are giving your car sufficient time to cool down between runs. I have trapped a best of 124.xx.

No ice box, but maybe something to consider soon.... i let at least 30-40 minutes between each run.

that pass was a built SRA leaving off the limiter @ 6750 on 26x10.5x15 ET Streets with the stock 17's on the front. after driving 115 miles to get to the track, gave it 1 1/2 hours cool down and stuffed the intercooler res with ice before making the pass

My best pass upper and lower unported with a little more weight out of the car
1.44 60 ft
10.94 @ 125
no powershifting
shifting @ 6300 rpm
car weighed a little under 3700 lbs with me in it
Run on Bogarts with 28x10.5x15 ET Drags with skinny's up front also leaving off the limiter @ 6750

Leaving off the REV limiter WOW!:burnout: Benefit of the SRA i guess... should fun to know you wont break a half shaft!
