I've seen a couple of Cobras and GTs with a spoiler off the rear deck lid and kinda like the difference in the overall look of the body.
How does this come off and anyone have an opinion on the pros and cons?

Plus the #$@n brake light keeps breaking.. my 3rd one and not cheap to replace.
I've heard others have had the same brake light issue.

I have taken two spoilers off an s197. It is a pain in the a$$. They use so much tape. I swear i could tow my boat with the spoiler. Anyways, the best way to get it off is with fishing line or guitar strings. Fishing line is safer. Cut two pieces off and twist them together. Then use it just like a saw. I also found the glue remover works very well too. Just something from wallmart will work. Use it like a lubricant.

i pulled the one off my 01. The 3rd break light gets crappy looking from the sun beating on it all the time. I went through one already. Took 2 years to get bad looking. All it is is 4 screws holding it on on each side. Just pop the trunk lid and look under it, you cant miss them.

Thats retarded ford uses double sided tape for the wing on S197's. There isnt anything like that on the new edges.
