Hey everyone!

Be aware of aftermarket quadrants:

The quadrant I installed in my car had such a quick ramp that there was actually a bend in about 1/2 inch up the cable. With what can't be more than 10,000 miles, my adjustable aftermarket cable was about to break!

So back in went the factory quadrant, pawl and cable. It might not be great for racing, but A) I dont' race that much and B) I don't pop the clutch at all.

Anyway, just thought I'd give everyone a heads up. ...you don't want to get stuck having to start your car in gear at stoplights 'cuz your clutch cable broke on you.

Thanks. I figured everyone might want to know this.

I ended up swinging by the dealer today at lunch and picking up the parts. The cable and clutch quadrant assembly was $113, out the door. ...fyi.

I sure as hell didn't expect to see what I saw.

OH! ...and while it is much easier to push again, my knee keeps hitting the steering wheel. ;)

Good luck with it. Since it's from Ford, it'll probably be better engineered.

The one I went with was from Anderson Motorsports.

I used the factory cable with the UPR quadrant and firewall adjuster. And, I put white lithium grease in the trench where the cable rides. It has been fine so far - about 2K mile on it.
