Question about Flat panel HDTV

In the specifications booklet it says 1,229,760 dots WVGA.
What is the difference between WVGA and WXGA dots?
Its a long shot but any help would be appreciated.

its basically resolution.

WVGA has less resolution approx. (852 X 480)

WXGA has more resolution approx (1280 X 768)

Then there's SXGA (1280 X 1024)

Its just telling you what all resolutions it will support.
