Question about globally locking timing

What are the pro & cons of globally locking timing in a tune? Why would you do either or?

Not absolutely true. I use locked timing tunes with no problems. You just cant be stupid with it. I prefer the locked timing tunes! They are not global locked tunes though. If you used a global locked timing tune your truck would come out the hole like a turd.
