question about my car vs another cobra

a freind borrowed his cousins cobra friday night. the car has full exhaust( headers, xpipe, and catback). the motor was blown and rebuilt by a reputable shop and some internal parts were upgraded. it was pullied and chiped but the owner took the pulley off. my car has cai and catback. we went on the highway and went from a 2nd gear roll at 45mph. i instantly started pulling and kept pulling till we shut it down in 4th. we wondered why and the only thing i could think of is the car is still tuned for the smaller pulley so it was running really fat. does this sound right or do you guys think the motor is not as strong as it should be?

That could be the problem. Buts thats still kinda odd. Does that car have the stock pully back on it? If so you should def tell your friend to get the car retuned beause you could have a lot more fuel then you need or vis versa.
