Ok, I am going to buy a set of 15inch DragLites for Slicks. But I dont know what Size to get or what backspacing I need. I have a solid axle under my 03 cobra coupe and I have a set of 26x10.5x15 slicks. What size rim do I need 15x10 or 15x8 rim? What backspacing should I get?

I just put on a set of 15x9 draglites with a 5.5" backspace on the rear and they just barely clear. the hose fitting on the caliper has maybe 1/8" clearance (15x10 will hit)and the caliper itself has maybe 1/4" clearance also. I have a soild axle off a Mach 1, same size brakes as the Cobra. Its close enough that im going to go to GT rear brakes, i have a buddy that will trade with me with his 03 GT.

The front is a whole different story, 15x3.5 with 1.75" backspace with 1" spacers and your good to go, puts the wheel flush with the fender with plenty of clearance for the brakes

Rim backspace

I have GT brakes on the rear, so will the 15x10 rims clear the brakes? Also, what about the offset of the rims. you have 15x9 with a 5.5 backspace, so would I go with a 6 inch backspace.

I need this info as well. Ordered a Strange 9" with stock dimensions for my 99 Cobra. Going with 15*10, but not sure on backspace. Thanks.

Discount tire told me

I went to discount tire and they told me to go with a 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 backspacing on a 10 inch rim and a 4 1/2 on a 8 inch rim. I ended up buying the draglite 15 x 10 with a 5 1/2 backspacing, hope it will work.
