Question for all you tuners out there

Quick question for all you tuners out there. I just recently purchased a used '08 GT500. It looks as though it's been tuned by Lone Star Performance in Addison, TX as there was a dyno sheet and SCT manual in the documentation I received with the car. Problem is, I didn't get the tuner along with the car. If I want to tune the car in the future for mods I plan on doing, am I screwed? Am I going to have to go to the dealership first and have them restore back to original code and then have it retuned, or will a reputable tuner be able to retune without the original tuner and stock tune? The dealer and I have both tried to get a hold of the original owner but he's not returning our calls. I'd offer to buy the tuner off of him if he'd just call me back.

The tune that is on there now will just end up being your stock tune. Get a new tuner and you can have it tuned

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear. I've already got a unmarried tuner kicking around in the garage, just need to get a tune done.

Call vmp and they can hook you up with a new one and whatever tune you want. What's done to the car now and what are your plans.
