I hit a speed bump so perfectly, that i ripped off my clutch insp. cover. My car would not budge. With the car in neutral i could not take my foot off the clutch or it would die. In gear it would not move just made noise from clutch area. Could a stretched cable or broken teeth on the adjuster cause the T.O.B. to push the finger plate just enough to cause this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Holy smash!

Gosh if it ripped the cover off Id be willing to bet your dealing with a bent throw out arm. The real name slips my mind for some reason but the fork that is connected to the clutch cable with the TOB on it.

Try to pull the clutch pedal up and then press back down on it to have the quadrant readjust itself, if its stock. If that doesnt help you need to look closer at the damage, post pics.
