I agree with sinister angel. I mean, who cars if parents let their kids go see R-rated movies??? Ok seriously, what can a kid see in an R-rated movie that they wont see or hear about on the news? You guys act like its a huge traumatizing ordeal that will scar them for life. I used to go to see R-rated movies when I was a kid and I didnt flip out and kill/rape/go on a shooting rampage (no, that was when my tranny grenaded for a 2nd time!) I mean jeez everyones gotta lighten up.

I think it should depend on what type of R rating it has meaning: is it sexual stuff or just violence. Sexual stuff is probably not the best stuff for any 14 year old to see. Some violence on the other hand can be fine...look at most video games. They are as bloody as all fauck.

Great, and where does the 'lightening up' end? One thing leads to another. Always has, always will. And I'm not even bringing extremes up like you mentioned (i.e. "kill/rape/...") Why subject a youth, when they are most impressionable, to violence and other controversial matter in excess? Why? For entertainment? Good to see that's what people need to have a good time...

And you...I'm willing to bet you're either young or uneducated. Come back later. KTHANXBYE.

Dude, how about you go f*ck yourself up the ass with a poker and mind your own business. If parents want to let their kids watch R-Rated movies, so what. It sure as hell isn't your job to say no. Now go move to China you socialist fuÇk.

Haha, I was right on both counts. You're young and uneducated. You resort to cursing because your vocabulary is severely limited.

I only do it because I need to stoop to lower intelligence levels, such as your own. Uneducated? I think not, seeing as I was writing letters to the editor when I was a sophomore in highschool and they got printed, have you done that? Please castrate yourself so your pro-censorship, authoritarian stance won't carry forth.

In Canada, nobody gives a shit. Simple as that.
Face it if the kids going to go into the movie, they're going to go in.
Once we were denied access, so we just got some random guy going to the same movie and said "Uhhh, we're with him" after he'd gone through -

This is probably in part to having parents who cared for you. I'm sure they parented you well, similar to the type of parenting I got.

Today's problem wouldn't be a problem if parents would level with their kids and play an important role in their lives. We all know about kids who sit at home all day in front of the tv with little, to no supervision. This leads to an im-balanced child who sees no difference or has no concept of right and wrong.

My parents let me see R-rated stuff when I hit the age of 14. I remember when Silence of the Lambs first came out and I wanted to see it so bad, but my parents said no. They stepped in and took some action, which today is a less occuring thing.

This R-card isn't a big deal as long as these parents who sign up for it still take the time to talk to their child about the movie and discuss with them the fallacy of said movie.

Thank you. I never said R rated movies should be stopped or censored, but a card that allows kids to see any R rated movie they want... Like mentioned in the article quote, each movie is different and R for different reasons. Parents need to be responsible for the example they set for their children. I simply think the card is moving in the wrong direction.

You only do it because you are a hotheaded internet e-thug. Let's see, you will respond with "You Berekely loving liberal unamerican dipshit phuckface!" as that is your thing.

Uneducated? I think not, seeing as I was writing letters to the editor when I was a sophomore in highschool and they got printed, have you done that?

Yeah since people assume intelligence with writing letters to editors!

Girls are distracted by presence of boys

Yes, boys and girls do much better in school if they are deprived of each other's company during study time ("School to test all-boy classes," May 24).

I couldn't have done half as well academically as I did if I had been distracted by the presence of boys.

Props for saying forth, negative points for being a tool.

fact is, many parents have different ways of parenting. That said, some work better than others. Generally a super strict household will not work as well as one with more flexible parents. If these kids want to get into the movies, they will. simple as that.

blow me. in fact, blow us all.

douche. :nonono:

AHAHAHAHA that made me feel better. Dude, when you have kids one day, thats if you dont already have them, Im gonna come over your house, tape them to the furniture, and FORCE them to WATCH R-RATED MOVIES!!! GASP!!! Then they'll grow up all twisted and messed up and end up killing thier parents!! OH GOD NO SAVE THE CHILDREN!!!!!

but i have to admit, i LOVE sonic blue Cobras.
