Well I have some toyo r888s on the car and will be heading to a test n tune this weekend. Anyone have experience with these at the strip? The best pressure to run them at? How do they hook? How much of a burnout? Thanks
My experience with them is burnouts do nothing for traction. The tire really needs even heat, not tread heat. I ended up leaving in 2nd to do any good.
I ram my r888s at 22 psi and did small burnout with my Kb cobra at the track.. This was awhile ago but ran low 12s on them and a 1.7x 60" if I recall. They were 305/30/18
hell yes, my r888s would dead hook at a 15 roll in first on my kennebell car.. way better then any radial iv run. and iv run n555r drags/nt01s/r888.. by far the best tire iv owned and best looking imo... i got great milage out of my set ago 8-10k which i consider good for a r compound tire..
yea i know this and so is the nt01, i never called it a drag radial. and 8198 was saying its a good alternative... works well for what it is and thats what im getting at
