When I was training my first Lab, he was swimming after a duck just like that. Duck dove and my dog dove after him...came up with the duck in his mouth. Duck was quacking like crazy. Dog swam over to shore, walked out of the lake and set the duck down so he could shake off all the water and the duck took off.
Eject!
Ouch!
