I have a O/R X-pipe and magnaflow exhaust, sounds good at WOT but when I let off the gas I of course get the lack of backpressure sound but it seems to be really raspy too. Is this a leak or a problem with the O/R X-pipe??

It's the characteristics of an O/R X.
Just part of the sound characteristics of the X. An H will give you a deeper sound as will a Prochamber.
