On the bottom of the leaf springs with that wedge...do they point opposite directions or do they both go the same direction? Right now we are pretty sure they are on the right way, but the drivers side wedge angles forward and the passengers side angles to the back...is this right?

they should face the same direction. Thats a pinion shim. A lot of times if guys lower the rears with shackles and if they get a slight vibration, it can be fixed by rotating the shims 180* to change the pinion angle.
Nevermind, found out that they both need to be pointed to the back. :bash:
you mean shims? they both go the same way and im pretty sure the big part faces back
Already answered your PM but here is some more info. When I bought the JLP shackles for my 03 I knew I was going to use the 4" setting so I emailed Johnny and asked about pinion angle and the shims. I was told to rotate the shims 180* and that is what I did and I have not had a problem since. I have not had a chance to drive the L since removing the leafs but I think it should still be okay. Just some food for thought. Matt
