Anyone know where the best place to find rear bumpers is? I've had no luck with fb marketplace, ebay, etc. I'd maybe be interested in a quality aftermarket alternative, if anyone has had luck with that...

I believe all aftermarket rears are gone. The ford repo’s pop up from time to time from ford but are usually $900.
There is a company that makes fiberglass/carbon ones but they appear to be blanks. They may make them with the cobra letter but you’d have to ask; but I personally dislike the company owner/company.

Like hen's teeth.

LMR would occasionally stock them and they'd disappear in a hot minute.

I ended up stalking eBay for a while and found one (& paid a king's ransom for)

Here's a few links I bookmarked when I was hunting. Like others said, its likely to be more of a custom thing than finding an OEM one.

Good luck.

Are you speaking about fiberglass specialties in Nevada?

I ask because I have been eyeballing the shaved bullitt side skirts for a long time but I am concerned about fitment.

Hounded both of these companies to get my rear bumper a few years ago, Fiberglass specialties stopped producing because of fitment issues back then, not sure if they sorted that out, I did get mine from MRbodkykit, it’s ok but fit isn’t great either. Sometimes beggars can’t be choosers

No I was talking of sigala aka HCM carbon. I didn’t know there were others making the bumpers.

That’s pretty darn spendy
Yea. Seems to be the going rate in the northeast anyway. I've had people offer to buy my new unpreped one on the project cobra for almost 1800. They don't pop up for sale often.

I wonder how much it would cost to have a run of a few hundred made to fill the market demand again.

Blu Auto Parts on FB parts out a lot of these cars so he either has some in stock or will get one soon. It will be $ and you may have to paint it but if you want the best fitment is really the only option. Buy once cry once

I thought about them after I posted my question. I wouldn't buy a thing from them either.

I know Sigala gets a lot of hate here, but I replaced my rear quarter panels, front/rear windshield mouldings and doors with their carbon fiber pieces (because mine have almost 300k and were rusting through) and the bodyshop said they were quality pieces and fit perfectly.

Communication gets an F- and delivery schedules are weird (I got my quarter panels 3 weeks after I ordered them, but the windshield moulding took almost 6 months) but the pieces are quality.

Glad his parts worked out for you. I personally wouldn't want to take the chance.

I think that's where I got mine from.

I would get them and have them either recleared and tinted or painted. My pieces fit fine but had some of the lowest quality resin/clearcoat applied.

My parts are now around 8 years old and my trunk continues to crack even now with my car being in an enclosed garage.
