Rear Gear Question

What rear gears are you running? I am running a 3.27 and think it is too tall. I am thinking of going to a 3.73. Looking for opinions.

What do you think your car will trap all out?
Take that and decide on a gear ratio in accordance with tire height you are running that will barely get you through the 1/4 mile at the max rpm you want to turn.
There is NO such thing as needing to run longer gear to load the turbo.

I think the car should trap 155ish. That is why I am leaning toward a 3.73 I run a 28" tall tire.

Exactly. I run 4:10's in my car with a 28" tire.

What trans? What RPM are you pulling to?

I run 3.55 with 28" tire and 6500 in 4th is 153. If you have 3.73 and think you will hit 155, you will need to run the rpm out higher.

Im running a C4 with 3.55's. I think it best all around gear for an auto 3 speed trans.

I only have 2 and 1st is only a 1.80 gear.
