I've searched.... How hard is it to replace while the rear diff is still in the car? and is there any "how to's" around that would be helpful? Any advice would greatly be appreciated. I've already had the IRS out a few weeks ago and really don't feel like pulling it again. :rollseyes

Thanks,
Juan

Well you can do it in the car. Remove driveshaft, break loose pinion flange nut. Remove pinion driveshaft flange. Now pry off pinion seal. Put light coating of permatex sealer around perimiter of new seal and install. Replace flange, torque nut to factory spec. and replace and bolt up driveshaft. That is all.

Sweet! Thanks! Sounds easy enough. Now... Anyone happen to know that torque spec? :D
140-160lbs.-ft. of torque. Make sure you mark the pinion flange in relation to the housing and put it back in the same spot. This is not critical, but it helps to keep any unwanted vibration out. Some sites say 140-180lbs.-ft. I would set it at 150lbs.-ft. and go with that.
