Rear View Camera

Anyone have any success installing a rear view camera using a license plate light assembly from another car? I see many European models with those installed and was curious to see if any work on the Ford Shelby. They have a light and camera assembly as one unit.

I've also seen others drill a 5/8" hole between the two lights but I'm not really excited about doing that either. I have a billet license frame whereas mounting a camera atop of that may look awkward as well. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Always wanted to put in here, haven't found a keyhole camera small enough yet. Two I tried were a hair too big.
